LawFest 22 New Zealand's Legal Innovation & Tech Event

LawFest 22 New Zealand's Legal Innovation & Tech Event

On 28 September, over 300 legal professionals from across Aotearoa and overseas will gather in person in Auckland for the premier legal innovation and technology event on the New Zealand calendar. LawFest continues to be the key event for the New Zealand legal and technology community to come together to network, collaborate and learn about how to innovate and adapt to change - and to do so in person! After the disruption we have collectively faced over the past couple of years, we all value the importance of face-to-face connection! COVID has reinforced why we need to innovate and leverage technology – LawFest 22 will explore further how to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing legal market.

A programme to inspire & challenge your thinking

LawFest 22
The programme provides something for everyone, from those new to technology, to those currently at the forefront of legal innovation. With 25+ amazing speakers from New Zealand and abroad, the interactive programme will deliver practical insights of how to innovate and leverage technology to help you deliver legal services for today and the future. Speakers will share their stories of what they are doing, together with how they started, but you’ll also learn from their stories of success and failure and what they did next.

Helen Mackay will MC the incredible line-up, featuring keynotes from Mark A. Cohen, one of the world's leading legal industry thought leaders, and global innovation leader Frances Valintine CNZM – both using their perspectives, highlighting how the legal profession needs to continue to adapt and embrace change.

PwC NewLaw Directors, Marlo Osborne-Smith and Eric Chin will provide powerful frameworks, strategies and solutions to help shape and accelerate your legal team's digital transformation journey. There are many other interactive sessions for those in law firms or working in-house, from stories of those working differently and from the coalface, together with legal design sessions led by Sara Rayment of Inkling Legal.

From Developing an Innovative Mindset, Client Centred Innovation, NewLaw, Digital Transformation, Wellbeing, Māori Transformational Leadership, Privacy, Trust & Technology, AI, eDiscovery, Responding to Data Breaches, Attracting new Clients and Referrers through to Legal Design, LawFest has something for everyone.

LawFest will continue to inspire and challenge your thinking and guarantee you will find something you can take away and implement in your own team.
